Preparation – What you should do before applying mascara

Before applying mascara, use a clean toothbrush to comb your eyelashes. You can also use the applicator of an old mascara tube that you have cleaned from any residues.
By applying baby powder before using mascara, you can add more volume to your lashes and make them look more expressive.
In case your mascara tends to be clumpy, put the tube in a glass of warm water. This way the formula will become more liquid and easier to apply. With this trick you will also get the rest out of the tube when your mascara is almost empty.
Use an eyelash curler after warming it up with a hair dryer. Not only will it be easier to curl the lashes, but you’ll also get a more expressive curl that lasts longer.
Right after using the eyelash curler, apply the mascara to keep them curled even longer.

What is the best way to apply mascara?

Start with the application close to the lash line, so that every single lash becomes more stable at the bottom.
Make sure you apply the mascara also on the skin between the lashes to make them appear more voluminous.
Apply mascara with zigzag movements in order to separate the tiny hairs properly.
To make your eyelashes look immediately fuller, apply the mascara from above as well, so that your eyelashes are covered from all sites.
If you still want more, you can combine two different mascaras. One that separates your eyelashes and another one that gives them more volume.
After applying mascara wait a minute until it has dried, then use a second layer of mascara for even more outstanding eyelashes.
Once the mascara has dried you can declump if necessary by combing through your lashes again with the clean toothbrush or an old mascara applicator.
