Pickle, Jam & Salsa Kitchen [website] is a premier producer of artisanal pickles, jams, and salsas, seeking a motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as a Gourmet Pantry Purveyor. We pride ourselves on using the freshest ingredients and traditional methods to create products that stand out in flavor and quality.
JOB OVERVIEW:
This role offers the flexibility to work from home, set your own schedule, and be your own boss. You will be responsible for selling our products at vendor booth shows and through various other networks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Actively promote and sell artisanal pickles, jams, salsas, butters, and relishes through various sales channels, including markets, events, and online platforms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking of sales and stock.
• Conduct tastings and product demonstrations to educate customers about the unique qualities and flavors of the products.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and attract new customers.
• Provide excellent service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Stay informed about industry trends and competitor products to keep offerings competitive and appealing.
• Prepare regular sales reports and provide feedback to improve sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
• MUST be a U.S. citizen. High school diploma or GED. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Culinary Arts, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the food industry.
• Strong understanding and passion for artisanal foods, including pickles, jams, salsas, butters, and relishes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with customers and promote products.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and loyalty.
• Capable of managing inventory, tracking sales, and maintaining accurate records.
• Basic knowledge of marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and attract new customers.
• Ability to address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Flexibility to work in various sales environments, including markets, events, and online platforms.
• Ability to analyze market trends and competitor products to keep offerings competitive.
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.
