Mommy Jobs Online is seeking for someone to fill the position of an Experienced Surgical Coder.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Abstract clinical information from a variety of medical records and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and/or CPT codes to patient records according to established procedures. Analyze, enter and manipulate databases, and confirm appropriate DRG assignments.

Skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years work experience.
Minimum of 6 months medical coding and 6 months of general clerical experience.
10,000 Alpha Numeric and Numeric keying speed.
CRITICAL SKILLS:
*Must have Multi-Specialty Coding Experience*
Abstraction coding experience is required.
Pro-Fee/Physician coding experience is a must have!
General Surgery coding experience is a plus!
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Excellent overall knowledge of coding. Help train and/or check work of level 1 coders. Answer questions of other coders. Knowledge in ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience. CPC/CCS is required.
